John "JB" Fentner

"It is the struggle itself that is most important. We must strive to be more than we are. It does not matter that we will not reach our ultimate goal. The effort itself yields its own reward." - Gene Roddenberry

John is a UX/IxD/UI Designer in Quincy, MA., about 10 miles south of Boston.
As a designer he's got a passion for aesthetically pleasing visuals, astute attention to detail, fluid functionality, and is a perpetual student of human behavior. His approach is biphasic, consisting first of Activity-Centered evaluation to minimize the number of actions required to complete a user’s goal, followed by global User-Centered assessments to ensure the overall experience is enjoyable and true to the user’s and client's needs.

He believes that a designer's aim should ultimately be to define as clearly as possible the value prospective users are seeking, lead them to said value with minimal cognitive strain and, if we're good, add some delight to their day while we're at it.
